Dr. Blake Scott has an unsurpassed passion for dentistry. He is one the youngest dentists ever to have received a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in the Central Valley and is one of only four dentists practicing in California selected for this prestigious award in 2016. He is the only dentist in Fresno holding all three of the following fellowships: Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and Fellowship in the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.

He is currently at the forefront of the dental profession’s evolution into digital design and same-day dentistry utilizing CEREC systems and 3 dimensional imaging.

In dental school he designed and ran a program for undergraduates educating future dentists about dentistry, dental trends, and the dental program at UOP. While stationed with the Marines at Camp Pendleton, he was given a faculty appointment with the University of California as an instructor and clinician at dental clinics for the underserved in San Diego.

Since 2013 he has served the California Dental Association and the Fresno Madera Dental Society in many capacities including positions on the Ethics Committee and Board of Directors. He also serves as Peer Reviewer for clinical journals of the dental profession.

Education / Experience

Dr. Blake Scott is among the highest trained and most educated dentists in the world having completed an excess of 2000 hours of continuing education in addition to his numerous academic programs.

After completing an undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego, Dr. Blake Scott studied graduate level Biotechnology at Cal Poly Pomona.  He worked in research on neurotransmitters and was the Biotechnology department microsurgeon for subject frogs.  It was during this time that he applied to dental school.

He and his wife, Dr. Lindsey Scott, met on their first day of dental school at the prestigious University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

Dr. Blake Scott was awarded the United States Navy’s Health Promotions Scholarship during dental school and went on to serve the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton and Iraq.

He completed a post-doctoral comprehensive dental residency honing his skills in dental prosthetics, oral surgery, root canals, periodontics, pediatric dentistry, and hospital dentistry through Naval Dental Center Camp Pendleton, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, and Naval Medical Center San Diego.

He deployed to Iraq and served with 1st Medical Battalion at Al Taqaddum Airbase outside of Fallujah where he was base Director of Oral Medicine and Clinic Director.

Dr. Blake Scott practices with his wife, Dr. Lindsey Scott.  Of his many considerable accomplishments, he reports his greatest were convincing Dr. Lindsey Scott to marry him and the subsequent birth of their daughter, Charlotte.
